GAEL MICHAEL KELLY, 86, of Anita, died May 4, 2025, at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn (IA). A Mass of Christian Burial for G. MICHAEL KELLY will be held 11-a.m. May 16, 2025, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty (IA).  Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Anita has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10-until 11-a.m. on May 16th at the church; A visitation WITH THE FAMILY PRESENT, will be held on Thursday,  May 8th, from 4-until 7-p.m., at the SCHMIDT FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Anita.

Burial is in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in West Liberty.

Memorials can be made to Myrtue Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Association and can be left or mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home at PO Box 523 – Atlantic, IA.

His wife – Cora “Corky” Kelly, of Anita.

His sons – Donald (Tracey Achenbach), of Bowling Brook, IL; Blaine (Jodi) Kelly, and John Kelly, all of West Liberty, and Todd (Karen) Kelly, of Iowa City.

His daughter – Cindy (Barry) Mills, of West Liberty.

His brother – David Kelly, of Atlantic.

His sisters – Cathleen Griffith, of Atlantic, and Colleen Nichols, of Moscow, IA.

10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives.
