Former Iowa State star receivers Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel hit the practice field for the first time over the weekend with the Houston Texans. After being named a third team All-American last season, Higgins was taken in the second round of last month’s NFL Draft then watched as Houston selected Noel in the third round.

Higgins is trying to adjust to the next level.

Higgins made history by becoming the first second round draft pick to sign a guaranteed contract.

Higgins says he learned a lot by playing at Iowa State under coach Matt Campbell.

Noel talks about his reaction when he found out the Texans drafted him.

Noel says the duo became good friends after Higgins transferred to ISU from Eastern Kentucky.

Noel credits his development to ISU coach Matt Campbell.

Noel says while getting drafted was fun there was a moment when he knew it was time to get to work.
