The Audubon baseball team begins its 2025 season Tuesday. The Wheelers look to be much improved this spring as they bring back all but two players from last year. Audubon fields an 18-man roster with six being seniors. Head Coach Eric Borkowksi believes there will be a strong balance amongst his team this season.

Senior Adam Obrecht led the starting pitchers last season with 39 strikeouts in 38 innings pitched and ended the season with a 5.48 ERA. Junior Brody Schultes led the team from the plate with a staggering .384 average and drove in 12 runs.

Senior Aaron Olson was an offensive leader in 2024 as well from the plate hitting .337 and leading the team with twelve doubles. Olson, working his way to get back 100 percent healthy should be ready to go early on in the season. Borkowski says those two will be towards the top again this season.

The offseason has been a big indication this team has gotten better according to Borkowski and has been impressed with the boys’ motivation.

The Wheelers look to boost their win total from a year ago, and they believe they have the toolset to do so.
