2 Hawkeye Fan Events Scheduled Next Week

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa Center for Advancement in conjunction with the Iowa Athletics Department will hold two free Hawkeye fan events next week.
The Council Bluffs/Omaha event will take place on Wednesday, May 14, at the Old Mattress Factory Bar & Grill in Omaha, while the Cedar Rapids event is scheduled for Thursday, May 15, at Big Grove Brewery. Doors open for both events at 5:30 p.m. (CT).
Hawkeye coaches scheduled to attend the Omaha event include Tom Brands (men’s wrestling), Tim Lester (football – offensive coordinator), Jen Llewellyn, (women’s gymnastics) and Ben McCollum (men’s basketball). The event will be emceed by Gary Dolphin, the voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Pre-registration is recommended.
Iowa staff scheduled to attend the Cedar Rapids event include Tom Brands (men’s wrestling), Randi Henderson (women’s basketball – assistant coach), Seth Wallace (football – assistant head coach) and Beth Goetz (Henry B. and Patricia B. Tippie Director of Athletics Chair). Pre-registration is recommended.
Both events are open to fans of all ages. These family-friendly events provide fans the opportunity to interact with and hear updates from Hawkeye coaches and staff.
The events will include a program with remarks, cash food and refreshments, door prizes, and more.
