Southwest Valley Girls Tennis Regular Season Nearing End
April 27th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
The Southwest Valley Girls Tennis team has just one dual left on their regular season slate scheduled for May 6th vs. Audubon. The Timberwolves faced the Wheelers earlier this week and fell short in a 7-2 loss.
Southwest Valley has won three matches on the season by defeating Clarke Community, St. Albert and Red Oak. Head Coach Steve McGrew says that Red Oak victory was historic for the program.
The Timberwolves have eight players out this season led by the two seniors on the roster, Maddie Bevington and Natalia Zimmerman. The senior duo has the two most victories on the season, Bevington with six and Zimmerman with five. McGrew says he has been impressed with the efforts from the pair so far.
Bevington and Zimmerman are the only two upperclassmen on the roster as well, as there are no juniors. The sophomore class features five players who all have at least one victory.
Southwest Valley is working on a few key components in practice as they prepare for their final regular season dual and postseason play.
The Timberwolves are looking to finish their 2025 season a strong note.
