Joined by his family and coaches Evan Sorensen signed his letter of intent to attand Central College in Pella as a dual sport athlete in Football and Wrestling. Sorensen, a standout in both sports says he is looking forward to continuing his journey.

That family atmosphere is one of many things that set Central College apart in Sorensen’s decision.

Sorensen had great years both on the mat and the field. In football Sorensen played on both the offensive and defensive lines recording 39.5 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. On the mat, he acquired five first place finishes, and placed fourth at the IHSAA State Championships. Although success on the the field, Sorensen thrived at wrestling and this is where the recruitment process started.

Greatful and appreciative to everyone that has been a part of his journey, including his family and teachers Sorensen said that Atlantic prepared him for what is to come.

Academically Sorensen has plenty of options. However, regardless of which direction he chooses, the core of it will be service to others.

Sorensen journey will start in August to prepare for the football season.
