(Griswold, Iowa) The Griswold and CAM School Community School District Boards of Education met separately Monday night and acted on approving the sharing of Softball for the next two-years. The Griswold School Board voted 4-to-3 to approve the agreement. Griswold Shared School Superintendent Dave Henrichs told KJAN News the CAM School Board also approved the agreement during their meeting, Monday night.

Henrichs said the discussions began after CAM reached out to the Griswold School District.

Griswold Head Coach Jody Rossell spoke at the special meeting Monday. Henrichs said she is 100-percent behind the sharing agreement.

Griswold Athletic Director Cole Cooper, Henrichs said, shared his thoughts and data to show the agreement is a good move..

Griswold will be the host school for most of the practices and games. A few will also take place at CAM.

The combined teams will wear Griswold uniforms. The agreement is for the Summer of 2025 and 2026.

Superintendent Henrichs said the coaches met several times to iron out the specifics of the arrangement. He said “We’re looking forward to a productive partnership with CAM and certainly wish the best for both [districts] student athletes.”
