Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester says quarterback Mark Gronowski has been a good fit for the program, even though he is still recovering from off season surgery. Gronowski transferred to Iowa after a standout career at South Dakota State and will not be fully cleared until this summer.

Lester says Gronowski will have to compete to become the starter at quarterback.

The Hawkeyes close spring drills Saturday with an open practice.
