Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller says the Hawkeyes are not focused on what it might take for them to get an at-large bid into the NCAA regionals. Iowa leads the Big Ten with a 20-4 record after consecutive sweeps against Michigan and Indiana but despite a 31-12 overall record are not nationally ranked and are only 61st in the latest RPI rankings.

The Hawkeyes control their own destiny in the league race and Heller says that is where the focus needs to be.

Heller says a key will be how the selection committee uses the RPI. The Hawkeyes have a chance to help their cause. They close Big Ten play at fifth place Washington and host third place Oregon. They also have a non-conference series in Des Moines against seventh ranked Oregon State.

Iowa hosts Illinois State Tuesday night (tonight) in a non-conference game before heading to Seattle for the weekend.
