A sophomore-to-be, Wright will have three seasons remaining as a Hawkeye.

The Atlanta, Georgia, native played in all 33 games with 12 starts as a freshman, averaging 7.2 points and 2.2 rebounds. Wright reached double figures 10 times, including a season-high 16 points against Pitt with four made threes. She had a season-high seven assists against Rice.

A standout at Wesleyan School, Wright was a four-star recruit according to ESPN HoopGurlz and a two-time all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She led Wesleyan to a pair of regional titles and was named Region 7 Class 3A Player of the Year in 2023. Wright surpassed 1,000 career points as a junior and was a three-year team captain.

“We are thrilled with the addition of Chit Chat to our team,” said Jensen. “She is a skilled and explosive guard that is relentless on both ends of the floor. She is a great fit in every way, and I can’t wait for our fans to watch her play.”
