Body found in NW Iowa April 9th ID’d as a missing Sioux City man

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Sheriff’s officials in northwest Iowa’s Woodbury County, today (Friday), said a body found April 9th in a rural Woodbury County field, has been positively identified as that of a missing Sioux City man. The State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny was able to determine the individual was 51-year-old Joshua Eldridge, who was reported missing on Nov. 3rd, 2024. He was last seen alive on Oct. 31st, 2024.

Authorities have not released any additional details with regard to the cause of death, or the circumstance surrounding the discovery of the body. An investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Sioux City Police Department and Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office.
