GREEN BAY, Wisc. – For the second consecutive year, a total of 31 Big 12 players heard their names called in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 31 selections match the Conference’s highest total since 2005 when the league garnered 32 total picks. The Big 12 broke Conference records with seven running backs and eight wide receivers selected. This year’s class also gives the Big 12 a total of 774 selections in its history.

Colorado’s Travis Hunter (second overall to Jacksonville) and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan (eighth overall to Carolina) gave the Big 12 Conference multiple top eight picks for the second time in the last three drafts. The duo also pushed the Big 12’s historical first round tally to 100 selections.

Houston’s selection of Jayden Higgins from Iowa State and Las Vegas’s pick of Jack Bech from TCU increased the Conference’s wideout total to four in the second round. By the end of day two, six Big 12 wide receivers were selected to set a Conference record for the first three rounds.

The Big 12 garnered 13 selections through the first two days of the draft before adding 18 picks in Saturday’s rounds. In total, 12 members of last season’s First and Second All-Big 12 teams were selected in this year’s draft.
