Improvement has been the theme the past few weeks for the Atlantic Girls Tennis team. The Trojans dropped their first three competitions of the season. However, Atlantic has bounced back taking their last four duals dating back to an 8-1 road victory at Glenwood.

Sophomore duo Jacobi Harter and Lily Willrich have led the Trojans in the top two positions with four victories for Harter and three for Willrich. Despite the tough start, Head Coach Mike McDermott says they have battled in a fierce Hawkeye 10 Conference.

Senior Dani Bennett has had a strong push to the middle of her season winning five matches and McDermott says her leadership has benefited the underclassmen heavily.

Atlantic is striving to play their best tennis of the season down the stretch. The Trojans believe they are determined to reach their goals by the end of the Spring.

Atlantic has three duals remaining, followed by the Hawkeye 10 Tournament in Red Oak before postseason play begins.
