The Atlantic Boys Golf team returns nearly everyone from a season ago for the 2025 campaign. The Trojans graduated just one senior last year and brought in six freshmen to the program as well. Atlantic fields an 18-man roster this Spring and has had the opportunity to get outdoors as much as possible and boost team chemistry says Head Coach Kendra Henningsen.

The Trojans have multiple players who have the potential to shine at any given tournament this year. Senior Tristan Hayes has been a letterwinner the last couple years for Atlantic is really excited for his senior year Henningsen said. Junior Hudson McLaren qualified for the state tournament as a sophomore last year and had the lowest nine-hole score of any golfer on the roster with a 34.

The Trojans kick off their season Tuesday, April 8th in Atlantic in a triangular against Keumper Catholic and Hamburg, that will be the first of four meets on their home course. The home slate includes the Atlantic Invite on May 6th, as the Trojans welcome 13 other programs onto their course.

Henningsen says the first part of the schedule looks a little different this year.

This year’s team has set goals and one of them is to be better than the rest.

It’s not just about redemption from a year ago but proving Atlantic can compete with anyone.
