TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Iowa softball fell to Louisiana Lafayette (ULL), 3-0, and to #21/22 Alabama, 5-1, on the final day of the Alabama Spring Break Showdown on Saturday afternoon at Rhoads Stadium.

Freshman Talia Tretton (3-3) made her ninth start of the 2025 season against Louisiana Lafayette and pitched 5 1/3 innings before Adams came in and pitched 2/3 in relief. Tretton allowed three runs on five hits, while fanning three. Sophomore Devin Simon led the way going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Junior Jalen Adams (11-2) made her 11th start of the 2025 season against Alabama. Adams allowed five runs, three earned, on six hits, while fanning three. Four different Hawkeyes record at least one hit in the game. Freshman Allyssa Ramos led the way with two hits and one RBI.
