The Griswold Girls Track & Field program have 23 athletes on this year’s roster including six seniors. A bigger team than years past gives the Tigers the opportunity to field almost every relay and field event this season.

Coming off a seventh place finish at the Northwest Missouri State Indoor Meet Saturday, Griswold scored eight points in the meet. Senior Addison Adams set a personal best in the 400 meter dash and the 60 meter hurdles that included seventh and sixth place finishes. The Tigers entered two different teams into the 1600 meter sprint medley relay that finished seventh and eighth place. The trip to Maryville was the third of 15 meets on the schedule including four home meets.

Griswold hosts the Corner Conference meet on May 6th and Head Coach Rachel Larsen knows the competition is stiff but her team is ready to be challenged.

A bigger roster means spots at meets will be a lot more competitive within the team.

The six seniors will be eyed as leaders for the rest of the Tigers.

Griswold continues their season Tuesday, April 1st at Bulldog Relays at Bedford.
