Drake bids for a trip to the Sweet Sixteen tomorrow when the Bulldogs play Texas Tech in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Wichita. Drake coach Ben McCollum is good friends with Texas Tech head coach grant McCasland, assistant coach Jeff Linder and several other Red Raider assistants.

These teams played in an exhibition prior to the start of the season and McCollum says the Red Raiders will be their toughest test to date.

Defending the three pointer was a key in the win over Missouri and it will be Saturday against a Texas Tech team that attempted 47 three pointers in a win over UNC-Wilmington.

That’s Drake junior guard Bennett Stirtz. Senior forward Mitch Mascari feels playing Missouri was good preparation for this game.
