Creston Police report 5 arrests over the past few days

(Creston, Iowa) – Officials with the Creston Police Department say there were five arrests over the past few days. Three people were arrested on drug charges:
- Saturday afternoon, 31-year-old Brandon Joseph Stone, of Creston, was arrested on a Union County Warrant for Failure to Appear on charges that include Possession of a controlled Substance/3rd Offense-Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance/3rd Offense-Methamphetamine. Stone was being held without bond in the Union County Jail.
- Late Sunday night, 53-year-old William Emmett Vandel, of Creston, was arrested for: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; 2-counts Possession of a Controlled Substance/1st Offense; Possession of a Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine- 1st Offense; Possession of a controlled substance/Marijuana – 1st Offense, and OWI 1st Offense. Vandel was being held in the Union County Jail on a $5,300 bond.
- Creston Police said also, late Friday evening, 33-year-old Dennis Lee Cook, of Macksburg, was arrested for Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Cook was cited and released on a promise to appear.
Saturday evening also, 30-year-old Tyler Wayne Kimball, of Creston, was arrested on multiple charges that include: Domestic Abuse Assault with a Dangerous Weapon/1st Offense; Interference with Official Acts; Disorderly Conduct – Fighting/Violent Behavior; Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree, and on a Union County Warrant for Failure to Appear for Court Order Time to a medical Facility. Kimball was being held in the Union County Jail on $2,000 bond.
And, just before 2-a.m. Sunday, Creston Police arrested 35-year-old Maria Soldedad Pantoja, of Afton, for OWI/1st Offense. Pantoja was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
