The CAM Girls Basketball team’s season has come to an end finishing with a 13-11 record. The Cougars reached the Class 1A-Region 1 Semifinal game but lost to Riverside 50-31.

CAM dropped four of their first five games of the season but quickly kicked into gear winning five of their next six including a three-game winning streak. A roster filled with just three seniors had plenty of underclassmen stardom on the floor throughout the course of the season. The Cougars had an up and down season but came out with a winning record. The 13-11 CAM Cougars were streaky at times but carried the winning momentum to back-to-back postseason wins against Griswold and Woodbine.

The Cougars do lose three seniors in the offseason but return six of their top seven scorers from this season and leading rebounder Ada Hansen, who is only a sophomore.

Leading scorer, Maddie Richter is not completely replaceable but the returners will have to step up do their best to fill those big shoes.

Despite the 1-4 start for CAM, the improvement was present and very noticeable.

Head Coach Joe Wollum says he is excited for all of the talent that will be back for another season.

The CAM Cougars will look to gain experience, strength, and excitement as they anticipate for next season to begin.
