AHSTW Boys Golf Brings Back Several Returners This Spring
March 27th, 2025 by Christian Adams
The AHSTW Boys Golf team brings back many of the top golfers from a season ago. The Vikings are looking to build on that success and experience this Spring. AHSTW fields a 12-man roster including two seniors Zachary Nielsen and Tyson Oshbahr. Both Nielsen and Oshbahr will play significant roles in the lineup each day. The Junior class is strong as well for AHSTW, Cash Freeman, Kaden Jorgensen, and Drew Lee all had medaling finishes throughout last year.
AHSTW kicks off the season Monday, March 31st in a dual at Logan-Missouri Valley Country Club taking on the Panthers. The Vikings have four home duals on their schedule along with a home triangular against Griswold and Essex. AHSTW is slated to compete in 12 competitions this Spring capping off with the Western Iowa Conference Tournament at Nishna Hills Golf Club in Atlantic.
Head Coach Aaron Allspach says the team has been able to get outside when they can, but it’s not always possible.
Allspach says this team has a lot of depth which is a big plus.
Finishing below the team average each time out along with competitiveness among the competition is a few of the team’s goals.
Look for AHSTW to be a stronger group in 2025 on the course and to compete at the highest level.
