Jo ANN KATES, 88, of Council Bluffs [formerly of Oakland], died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Country House in Council Bluffs. Funeral services for Jo ANN KATES will be held 10:30-a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Rieken-Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4-6 PM, at the Oakland United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in the Carson Cemetery.

Her daughters – Linda Smith, of Omaha, NE, and Lisa (Monty) Rollins, of Oakland.

Her sons – Larry Kates, of Oakland, and Lonnie (Julie) Kates, of Carson.

Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
