A big change is coming to one of Iowa’s biggest racing events. Hy-Vee will not be the title sponsor of this year’s IndyCar Race Weekend.

Officials with IndyCar made the announcement Friday evening, saying, “Hy-Vee will continue to be a key sponsor of INDYCAR Race Weekend at Iowa Speedway this year, though the company will no longer serve as the title sponsor of the July 11-13 event. We certainly appreciate all that Hy-Vee has done to support this event and the sport of INDYCAR racing, and we look forward to our continued partnership in 2025.

“Since INDYCAR returned to Iowa in 2022, this event has grown with the passionate fans across the state and throughout the Midwest embracing the unique NTT INDYCAR SERIES doubleheader race format and the exciting oval racing at the ‘Fastest Short Track on the Planet.’ We will continue to work closely with Hy-Vee and all of our event partners to build on the momentum of INDYCAR Race Weekend at Iowa Speedway and add to its legacy as one of the most popular annual sporting events in the state of Iowa for years to come.”

The change means this year’s event will not feature the big-name concerts that helped draw thousands to the Iowa Speedway over the past few years. The event will still feature two days of IndyCar racing on July 12 and 13.
