The State wrestling tournament is here and the Atlantic Trojans are sending six competitors to this year’s state tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The six wrestlers advancing to the four-day tournament in the state’s capital are 113 pounder Collin Harris, 120 pounder Braxton Hass, 138 pounder Kalvin Hayes, 144 pounder Aiden Smith, 190 pounder Donovan Hedrington, and 285 pounder Evan Sorensen.

Head Coach Tim Duff emphasizes this is the fun part of the season and he is happy for the six Trojan wrestlers who qualified.

The Trojans bring fresh faces and returners to the matt this week.

Duff stressed on getting few opportunities such as this one in your life. He reiterated to his wrestlers to live in the now and give it all they got.

The State Wrestling Tournament begins Wednesday and will run through Saturday night. KJAN will be providing updates throughout the week and conclude with play-by-play coverage Saturday night.
