Brown Nearly Triple-Doubles as ISU Wins at KU, 93-80

LAWRENCE, Kan. (Cyclones.com) – Iowa State (18-9, 9-5 Big 12) picked up the 93-80 road win at Kansas (16-7, 7-5 Big 12) Saturday afternoon to secure the season sweep of the Jayhawks. Iowa State seemingly could not miss from beyond the 3-point line, while Addy Brown nearly hit a triple-double. Iowa State sent in 18 3-pointers, making 10-plus for the third-straight game and 11th of the season. Seven of those performances have come in conference play. The total ties the fourth most in program history and fifth most in Big 12 history.
Addy Brown was a star coming just one rebound shy of a triple-double. Her stat line included 17 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. The sophomore secured her seventh double-double of the season and 17th of her career.
Emily Ryan had a hot start with four 3-pointers in the first quarter, going on to match her career high of six. Ryan ended with a season-high 20 points, six assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Audi Crooks had her 59th-straight game scoring in double figures with a game-leading 25, while adding nine rebounds. Sydney Harris made five 3-pointers and totaled 17 points, while Kelsey Joens tallied 11 points as five scored in double figures.
