BETTY LOU VAIS, 86, of Exira, died Tue., Feb. 11, 2025, in Des Moines. A Mass of Christian Burial for BETTY LOU VAIS will be held 11-a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adair. Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Exira has the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10-until 11-a.m. Monday, in the St. John Catholic Church Parish Hall.

A luncheon will follow the mass in the Parish Hall of St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow the luncheon at Exira Cemetery in Exira.

BETTY LOU VAIS is survived by:

Her husband of 66 years – Raymond Vais.

Her daughter – Verla Rae Vais (& Kevin Cunningham).

Her brother – Todd Brown, of Exira.

3 grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and some very special friends she met along the way: Shelli, Teresa, Angie, Samayah, and Ryanna.
