Alert Madison County Deputy stops an alleged burglary in progress

(Winterset, Iowa) – A Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol Wednesday, came across a suspicious vehicle in the area of an abandoned farm house in the 2300 block of Harmon Avenue in rural Madison County. Additional Deputies arrived on scene and were able to stop a burglary in progress.
During the investigation the alleged offender was identified as “Jack David Hobbs” of Des Moines. Hobbs was Charged with Burglary Third Degree, Possession of Methamphetamine Second or Subsequent, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The offender is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
