BETTY JEAN PORTER, 92, of Cumberland, died Monday, January 27, 2025, at her residence in Cumberland. Funeral services for BETTY JEAN PORTER will be held 10:30-a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2o25, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the funeral home.

A luncheon will follow the service at the Cumberland Community Building.

Burial will be at a later date at the Reno Cemetery in rural Cumberland.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the family for future designation and can be sent in care of Schmidt Family Funeral Home to P.O. Box 523 Atlantic, IA 50022.

Her sons – Steven Porter, of Cumberland, and David (Tracy) Porter, of Honey Creek.

Her daughters – Deborah Lasher, of Omaha, NE, and Donna Porter of Wiota.

Her brother – Eldon Eastman, of Dallas Center.,

10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
