Atlantic Wrestling sees Success at Rollin Dyer Wrestling Tournament

Two Atlantic Trojans Aiden Smith (126) and Evan Sorensen (285) won the individual titles at the Rollin Dyer Wrestling Tournament in Atlantic on Saturday. The Trojans finished sixth in the eighteen-team field with 126.5. Smith, state runner-up one year ago at (113), made his record to 32-1 and beat the 126-pound weight class. The junior pinned three of his four opponents., including a fall in 3:44 over Ethan Skoglund of Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the finals. Evan Sorensen (285) was fierce on his way to the top of the podium. Sorensen went 24-2, posted pins of 24: 49, 1:27, and a:17 fall over Noah Winger of Bondurant-Farrar in the finals.

Four other Atlantic Wrestlers medaled in the tournament. Taye Jordan (106) finished runner-up, Braxton Hass (113) finished third, Cohen Bruce, 5th at (190), Jayden Harter, 6th at (132), and Collin Harris, 8th at (106).
