The Iowa Hawkeye men and women take part in a doubleheader in Wells Fargo Arena Saturday. It begins with the Hawkeye men playing Florida A@M. Iowa is coming off three straight lopsided losses and coach Fran McCaffery is staying positive with his team.

Florida A@M is 2-5 but McCaffery says every team has veteran players who can score.

McCaffery says the Hawkeyes will need to play better than they did in Sunday’s loss to Michigan.

The fourth ranked Hawkeye women play Cleveland State in the second half of the doubleheader. The Vikings have won nine straight but lost standout guard Destiny Leo to a season ending injury.

That’s Iowa coach Lisa Bluder who says with Leo out other players have stepped up.

The Hawkeyes have two nonconference games remaining before jumping back into Big Ten play on December 30th against Minnesota.
