Clarke County man cited after leaving the scene of an accident in Creston

(Creston, Iowa) – The driver of a car that struck two vehicles in Creston on Sept. 16th, was issued several citations. Creston Police report a 2004 Buick Park Avenue was traveling south on Division Street at around 10:30-p.m., when the car left the road and struck a legally parked 1997 Dodge Ram pickup, registered to Joann England, from Creston. The impact caused the pickup to roll over and strike a 1999 Chevy Blazer, registered to Lance England, also of Creston.

The Buick left the scene but was located several blocks away. The driver of the car, fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the vehicle who was located in the yard by the abandoned car, told Police the driver was as 35-year-old Jesse Dale McDole, of Osceola. Witnesses told Police the driver was allegedly severely intoxicated, and the passenger said they had been at a bar drinking. The passenger was also severely intoxicated.

She told authorities she let McDole borrow the vehicle. McDole was never found, but was mailed copies of citations for: Leaving the scene of an accident; Reckless Driving; Parking where prohibited; Failure to Maintain Control, and Improper Use of a Lane.
