JAMES E. “JIM” NELSEN, 83, of Anita, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Cass Health in Atlantic. Funeral services for JAMES NELSEN will be held 11-a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic. Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Anita with a luncheon at the Anita Community Building.

Visitation with the family present will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Memorials can be made in his name and will be designated at a later date and can be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home – P.O. Box 523 – Atlantic, IA 50022.

His wife – Jolene Nelsen, of Anita.

His daughter – Janet (Eric) Maynard, of Anita

His brothers – Jerry (Faye) Nelsen, and Joe (Mary) Nelsen, all of Anita.
