Chiefs drop road game against Bengals

The Kansas City Chiefs came up short on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24 on Sunday afternoon.

The Chiefs fell behind 14-3 early in the game but rallied back to take a 24-17 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Bengals got a field goal to climb within four and then took advantage of a Travis Kelce fumble. Cincinnati capped off a ten-play drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow to Chris Evans to pull on top 27-24. The Chiefs missed a 55-yard potential game tying field goal and then the Bengals were able to run out the clock. A big pass from Burrow to Tee Higgins for 11-yards to get a first down was the final dagger.

Burrow finished 25 of 31 passing for 286 yards and two touchdowns. He also rand for 46 yards and one touchdown. The Bengals improved to 8-4.

Patrick Mahomes was 16 of 27 for 223 yards and 1 touchdown for the Chiefs. Isaiah Pacheco had 66 yards and one score on the ground. The Chiefs fell to 9-3 on the season.
