Former UNI star guard AJ Green has decided to keep his name in the 2022 NBA Draft. After the past season concluded Green put his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal and also started the NBA Draft evaluation process.

Green spent four seasons at UNI and was twice named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. It was widely speculated that if Green didn’t stay in the draft he would head to Iowa State where his father Kyle is an assistant coach, joining TJ Otzelberger’s staff from UNI last season.

Green has been on multiple workouts for a number of NBA teams including high interest from the Indiana Pacers.
