The 2022 Boys State Tennis Tournament wrapped up on Wednesday with play moving indoors due to the poor weather conditions. 1A athletes played at Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo.

In 1A Singles play Carter white of St. Albert won his second round consolation match over Jack Freiburger of Dubuque Wahlert. In the consolation semifinals White fell to Roan Martineau of Wahlert 6-3, 6-2. That put White into the 7th place match where he fell to Nathan Brown of Clarinda 6-1, 6-1.

Brown won his second round consolation match over Calvin Johnson of Grinnell 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). He then lost in the consolation semifinals to Alejo Marcon of Pella Christian 6-4, 6-2 before defeating White in the 7th place match.

In 1A Doubles play Colin Reis and Harrison Dahm of Denison-Schleswig lost in the semifinals to a duo from Xavier 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 6-4. Then in the 3rd place match Reis and Dahm defeated Overland & Zimmerman of Boone 6-0, 6-3 to grab the 3rd place medal.
