Reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year AJ Green has entered the transfer portal. Green has spent four years at Northern Iowa playing and starting 99 games.

Green averaged 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 41.4% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range. He was the Valley’s Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and has been named MVC Player of the Year twice.

In his announcement Green said he is testing the NBA Draft waters but also entering the portal “to gather as much information as I can in order to make the best decision for my future.” He also mentioned returning to UNI is an option he’s considering.
