Iowa State women’s basketball has added a graduate transfer to the roster for next season. 6-6 forward Stephanie Soares from The Master’s University has signed with Bill Fennelly and the Cyclones.

Soares is a two-time NAIA Player of the Year and three-time First Team All-American. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native averaged 20.5 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists last season on a 32-4 team that reached the NAIA quarterfinals.

Soares is immediately eligible for the Cyclones with one season of eligibility remaining. Her mother Susan played at Texas while her father and three siblings all played at The Master’s in Santa Clara, CA.
