The UNI women’s basketball team knocked off MVC favorite Missouri State 74-65 on Thursday night in Cedar Falls. The win snapped a 21-game conference win streak for the Bears.

Karli Rucker led four players in double figures for the Panthers with 19 points. Emerson Green added 17 points and Grace Boffeli finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds. UNI jumped out to a nine point lead by the end of the first and held a 13 point advantage at half.

The Panthers improved to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in MVC play. The Panthers take on the streaking Southern Illinois Salukis this Saturday. Southern Illinois has won all 3 of their MVC games this season, including a close battle against Drake on Thursday. The Salukis will come to the McLeod Center on Jan. 15 with tipoff at 2 p.m.
