The Iowa women’s basketball team was able to avenge an earlier season loss and topped Northwestern 72-67 in overtime on Friday night in Evanston.

The Hawkeyes trailed by 5 heading into the final quarter but were able to not the game up at 61 by the end of regulation to force the extra session. Iowa then outscored the Wildcats 11-6 in overtime to grab the big road win.

Caitlin Clark continued her recent tear with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Monika Czinano had a big game as well with 24 points and 16 rebounds.

The Hawkeyes improved to 14-4 overall and 8-1 in the Big Ten.

Next up Iowa hosts Ohio State on Monday, Jan. 31 inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. (CT) on B1G Network.
