Riverside senior Morgan Heiny hit four 3’s and finished with 15 points to lead Riverside to a 39-29 win over Tri-Center on Tuesday night in Oakland. The Bulldogs got off to a slow start, falling behind by 6 midway through the first quarter, but rallied to an 8 point lead by halftime. The Bulldogs held the lead near the 7-10 point range most of the rest of the way. Bulldogs Coach Mitch Rice talked about what got the team rolling in the second quarter.

Freshman Elly Henderson had a nice game as well with 11 points. She made a couple of big baskets and defensive plays at the beginning of the fourth quarter to keep the Bulldogs in control. Coach Rice said she still makes some freshman mistakes but is developing into a big time player for their program. The win pushed the Bulldogs to a 4-6 record on the season and Coach Rice said it was another milestone.

Tri-Center was led by 8 points from Alexis Flaherty. The Trojans are now 2-6 on the season.
