The Drake women’s basketball team came up short against Southern Illinois 60-49 on Thursday night. The Bulldogs suffered through a seven minute scoring drought in the second half.

Maggie Bair led Drake in the loss with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. The Bulldogs shot just 31 percent for the game (18-58).

The Bulldogs fell to 9-7 overall and 1-4 in Valley play. Next up Drake will continue its three-game homestand, playing host to defending league champ Missouri State in a 2 p.m. tip-off Saturday.
