RICHARD CHAPMAN, 83, of Des Moines, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at his home in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life Service for RICHARD CHAPMAN will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle.

Burial is in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, rural Fontanelle, Iowa with full military graveside rites conducted by the Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Memorials may be directed to the Richard Chapman memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.

His brothers – Milt (Nancy) Chapman, of Creston; John (Ruby) Chapman, of Walsenburg, Colorado, and Stephen (Jean) Chapman, of Fontanelle.

His sister – Alice Carter of Phoenix, Arizona.
