Hot shooting pushes No. 12 Iowa State past Prairie View A&M

AMES, Iowa – No. 12 Iowa State (11-1, 0-0 Big 12) closed out the calendar year with a 108-39 win over Prairie View A&M (2-8, 0-0 SWAC) Sunday behind 19 three-pointers, which tied a school record and broke the record for the most inside Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones overwhelmed the visitors from the start, and led by as many as 69, as ISU improved to 7-0 at home this season.

The Cyclones extended their winning streak to four games as they reached the century mark for the first time since 2019 (vs. Texas Tech). ISU shot 51 precent, including 19-of-39 (49%) from beyond the arc, and held the Panthers to 21 percent from the field. Iowa State’s 19 triples is also tied for the second-most in a game in Big 12 history, and tied for third-most in the country in a game this season.
