Ryan Hawkins poured in 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to help lead Creighton to an 83-71 win over 24th ranked BYU on Saturday in Omaha.

Hawkins dropped 18 points in the first half and the Bluejays blew the game open with a 48-30 lead at the break. Hawkins shot 10-18 for the game including 4 of 8 from three point range.

Ryan Nembhard added 17 points, Alex O’Connell had 15, and Ryan Kalkbrenner had 14 points to go along with 9 boards and 5 blocks.

Creighton improved to 8-2 on the season. Next up is a home game against Pac-12 foe Arizona State on Tuesday.
