The AHSTW girls basketball team built a 14 point halftime lead and raced away from Griswold for a 58-20 victory on Monday night in Avoca. AHSTW Head Coach Jill Vanderhoof thought her team played much stronger with the ball than they did to start the season.

Ellie Peterson scored 13 of her game high 17 points in the first half. Coach Vanderhoof likes how she can impact the game in multiple ways.

Delaney Goshorn and Ella Langer each added 11 for the Lady Vikes. AHSTW improved to 3-3 on the season and will be back at it on Tuesday hosting Missouri Valley.

McKenna Weichman scored 12 points to lead Griswold, all on three point makes. The Tigers fall to 1-5 on the season and will host East Mills on Friday.
