(Radio Iowa) – The ninth ranked Iowa Hawkeye women open the regular season at home tonight (Tuesday night), against New Hampshire. It begins a busy opening week for the Hawkeyes.

That’s Iowa coach Lisa Bluder who was asked if she will tighten her rotation with the start of the regular season.

Bluder says New Hampshire returns all five starters from a year ago.

Bluder expects a large crowd with it being part of a doubleheader with the Hawkeye men

The Hawkeyes are looking to improve on defense and gave up 32 points in an exhibition victory over Truman State. Sophomore guard Caitlin Clark.

Clark says it will be fun to be part of a doubleheader.

Clark expects New Hampshire to show a variety of defenses.
