The UNI Panthers picked up a big win on Saturday over FCS #6 South Dakota State 26-17 in Brookings, SD. Panthers kicker Matthew Cook had a big day with four field goals, two over 50 yards to lead UNI to the win.

Panthers receiver Isaiah Weston continued his stellar season with 125 yards receiving on 4 catches with 1 touchdown. The Panthers jumped on top early after forcing an SDSU fumble on the opening drive and turning it into a Bradrick Shaw touchdown run. The Panthers led 20-10 at halftime and the defense held strong for the win.

UNI improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the MVFC. SDSU falls to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Valley.

Next up for the Panthers is a home game on the 30th against Southern Illinois with a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
