Second half rally leads Iowa to big win over Penn State

The Iowa Hawkeyes rallied from 14 points down and beat Penn State 23-20 on Saturday in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes outscored the Nittany Lions 10-0 in the fourth quarter to grab the win.
Spencer Petras went 17-31 passing for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns. Including the go ahead score to Ragaini in the final period. It was Iowa’s first win over a top five team since beating then #3 Ohio State in 2017.
Penn State quarteback Sean Clifford left the game with an injury with a few minutes left in the first half and did not return. Penn State fell to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten.
Iowa improves to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in Big Ten play. Next up for the Hawkeyes is a home game against Purdue next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. and we’ll have coverage on KJAN starting at 12:30 p.m.
