San Diego edged out the Drake Bulldogs on Saturday 13-10 in a Pioneer Football League contest. The Toreros scored all of their points in the second half to take the game and increase their win streak in the series to nine.

Drake led 3-0 at halftime with a Shane Dunning 38-yard field goal being the only score. The Toreros tied the game at 3 early in the second half before Drake running back Caden Meis raced for a 22-yard touchdown to put the Dogs up 10-3. San Diego answered right back with a 94-yard drive that was capped by a 10-yard touchdown pass to tie the game up. The deciding score came on a 44-yard field goal with 9:50 left. Drake’s last chance ended with an interception at midfield.

San Diego moves to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in the PFL. Drake moves to 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

Drake returns home next Saturday for a noon game against Stetson.
