The Drake Bulldog football team came up short 28-10 to Dayton at home on Saturday. Dayton Outscored the Bulldogs 14-0 in the second quarter and pulled away for the win.

The Flyers took the lead when a high snap sailed over Drake pounter Shane Dunning’s head and was scooped up by the Flyer’s Ca’ron Coleman at the four yard line and run in for the score. Rushing touchdowns by Jack Cook and Jake Chisolm put Dayton up 21-0 in the third quarter.

The Flyers won their second straight game in the series. They improve to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Pioneer Football League.

All of Drake’s 10 points came in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs fall to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the PFL. Next up for the Dogs is a trip to San Diego for a 4:00 p.m. central kick next Saturday.
