The Atlantic cross country teams competed at the 16th Annual Heartland Classic meet at Central College in Pella on Saturday.

The boys team placed 38th and were led by Drew Engler with a 137th place finish in the field of 283 runners. Zane Berg was 172nd, Alex Sonntag 231st, Bennett Whetstone 236th, Tyrell Williams was 238th, Christian Thompson 243rd, and Devin Fields 268th.

Claire Pellett was the winner of the girls 9th/10th division race, besting the field of 64 runners with a time of 20:48. Belle Berg went 11th and Faith Altman was 21st in that 9/10 race.

In the girls JV race Aspen Niklasen went 88th in the field of 213. Claire Wiederstein was 101st.
